📚This/these and that/those can be used to express contrasts in emotional distance and signal different attitudes. ⏩This/these convey a more positive and involved attitude whereas ⏩that/those suggest a more detached and possibly critical attitude:

(can be said even if the speaker is nowhere near one of the phones referred to)

🔻I'm not going to wear this brown sweater any more. I hate THAT colour.
