✅ CBDT sets up NeAC & appoints KM Prasad as first Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax of NeAC
Central Board of Direct Tax(CBDT) has newly set up National e-Assessment Centre (NeAC) in Delhi. The initiative is a part of government efforts to reduce human discretion in assessments and scrutiny, which in turn will eliminate possibilities of corruption, by leveraging new technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, video conferencing, telecommunication application software and mobile applications.
CBDT has also appointed 1984 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Krishna Mohan Prasad as the first Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax of NeAC. The Centre will have 16 officials and will be headed by a Principal Chief Commissioner of Income-tax (PCCIT) as its chief.

केंद्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड (CBDT) ने दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय ई-मूल्यांकन केंद्र (NeAC) स्थापित किया है। TargetADDA यह पहल आकलन और जांच में मानवीय विवेक को कम करने के लिए सरकारी प्रयासों का एक हिस्सा है, जो बदले में कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता, मशीन लर्निंग, वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग, दूरसंचार अनुप्रयोग सॉफ्टवेयर और मोबाइल अनुप्रयोगों जैसी नई तकनीकों का लाभ उठाकर भ्रष्टाचार की संभावनाओं को समाप्त करेगा।
CBDT ने 1984 बैच के भारतीय राजस्व सेवा (IRS) के अधिकारी कृष्ण मोहन प्रसाद को भी NeAC के आयकर के पहले प्रधान मुख्य आयुक्त के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। केंद्र में 16 अधिकारी होंगे और इसकी अध्यक्षता एक प्रधान मुख्य आयकर आयुक्त (PCCIT) करेंगे।
